"The aesthetics (or art) of nature is the rhythm we move to" — Christopher Marley
Christopher Marley is an artist and designer who utilises natural specimens such as insects, sea life and minerals to create visually stunning compositions. Marley believes that the life sciences and the arts are inseparable and that insect collecting can aid conservation by offering an economic incentive to preserve the environments in which they live. All of the specimens used in his work are collected in an environmentally responsible manner.
This calendar comprises twelve of Marley’s original artworks, each accompanied by a concise description of the insects portrayed in the arrangement.
The calendar is printed with soy-based inks on FSC certified paper. FSC certification promotes responsible forest management by ensuring that forestry practices are both environmentally and socially responsible.
