Redfern's Field Guides to Pitcher Plants

Redfern’s Natural History’s visually stunning field guides contain detailed scientific information, written in an accessible way, and are easy to use when looking at plants in the field. Pitcher plants are carnivorous plants with modified leaves known as pitfall traps - a prey-trapping mechanism that features a deep cavity filled with liquid.

A percentage of profits from Redfern Natural History’s books currently supports two conservation projects: the Joseph Pines Preserve, in the United States, to restore and preserve fragile Virginia Longleaf Pine Forests, and the Ark of Life project, which aims to safeguard rare species of carnivorous plants that are extinct or nearly extinct in the wild.
