This is the fifth part to deal with the fungal order Uredinales or rust fungi, which are nowadays known as the order Pucciniales. It describes 12 genera and 117 species known from China. The morphological characteristics, host plants and distribution of spores, 115 line drawings of spore morphology, and references and indexes of Chinese names and scientific names of rust fungi and host plants are included. This is part of the research results of the author's investigation and classification of rust fungi in China over the years. Rust fungus is a common obligate parasitic fungus of higher plants and an important pathogenic fungus for many economic plants. The accurate diagnosis of plant rust depends on the accurate identification of the pathogenic rust. This book can be used as a reference for scientific research personnel, technicians engaged in plant protection, forest protection and plant quarantine-related work, and teachers and students of the departments of biology, plant protection and forest protection of colleges and universities.
