Fr Dr. V.S. Manickam and his colleagues from the Centre for Biodiversity and Biotechnology, Xavier Research Foundation, St. Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai, Tamil Nadu conducted continuous fieldwork in the hills of Southern Western Ghats for four years. The results of their study are being brought out as the Flora of Tirunelveli Hills.

Volume 3, Monochlamydeae is presented here with 278 taxa in 107 genera and 22 families. The flora incorporates details of distribution, taxonomic account, endemism and conservation status for all the taxa.
