About this book

Language: French with English summary

A flora treatment of the Ixonanthaceae occurring in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Burundi is provided. Within this region, the family is represented by three species of the genus Phyllocosmus. These were dealt with before in this series, as members of the Linaceae family, but are treated here in their new context and revised taxonomic concept. A key to the taxa is included and each species comes with a description including data on its habitat, representative herbarium specimens, vernacular names, uses and additional observations. One species is illustrated with a detailed line drawing.
