About this book

Language: Bilingual in English and Italian

This the catalogue to the exhibition set up from September 29th to October 7th 2018 in Florence, Italy, in the prestigious rooms of the Museum of Villa Bardini. The exhibition is dedicated to the artworks of 39 international artists showcasing botanical themes in watercolour. The works, about eighty, reproduce fragments of nature, flowering branches, single or juxtaposed flowers, vegetables or fruits, and single leaves, and ore observed with the acumen and attention to detail characteristic of the naturalistic documentation with scientific intent.

"There is a constant", writes Stefano Casciu, "in the splendid plates gathered in this exhibition: it is the unconditional love for Nature, in its infinite forms that unfold before our eyes, amazed and fascinated, never satisfied to examine and to enjoy the nuances of colours and different surfaces, smooth, wrinkled, moist, shiny, hard or soft".
