About this book

Aardvark to Zebra is the result of 25 years of research and investigation towards a unique collection of facts about 70 of South Africa’s wild animals (67 mammals, two reptiles and one bird). In addition to being used as a hand guide during field trips it also provides interesting reading for young and old who would like to know more about South Africa's wildlife. The book contains over 2,200 questions and answers. While the questions are the typical ones asked by nature-loving, but not necessarily zoologically trained members of the public, each answer is backed by scientific authentication by experts in their respective fields. All the species descriptions are backed by excellent colour photographs, and many behavioural traits mentioned in some of the answers are proven by photographs catching the animals in action.
