About this book

Language: Spanish

Wildlife tends to avoid contact with humans and that may make a place of great biodiversity such as the Sierra de Guadarrama (a mountain range forming the main eastern section of the Sistema Central, the system of mountain ranges along the centre of the Iberian Peninsula) seem empty of animal life, but nothing is further from reality. This publication will allow anyone who wanders through this environment to discover much of its wildlife through the presence of their tracks.

Given the tremendous variety of animals living and abounding in this area, the authrs have made a small selection including mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles and even molluscs and arthropods, and have chosen representative, most common or more curious tracks and traces. This introduces the reader into the exciting world of traces, the forgotten language that allows us to "see without seeing."
