On the basis of ample Geometrid material mainly from Northern Sumatra, this faunistic account of the (traditional) Oenochrominae (auct.) of Sumatra lists 9 genera with 43 species, 14 of which are new records for Sumatra. Seven new species (Sarcinodes tornubilatus, Sarcinodes malakarius, Eumelea parda, Eumelea djingga, Derambila gertraudae, Ozola liwana, Ozola edui) and a new subspecies (Eumelea atomata perclara) are described. Photographs of ♂ and ♀ genitalia of most species are presented; new and other taxa are figured on colour plates. Available host-plant information is given for 5 genera, including Eumelea (Macaranga, Mallotus in Euphorbiaceae) and Sarcinodes (Helicia in Protcaccae). The checklist of Sumatran species includes also a table of distribution in other parts of Sundaland (Peninsular Malaya, Borneo, Palawan, Java).
