This issue focuses on Coleoptera: Rhysodidae, Carabidae: Nebriinae - Broscinae. A key to identification of central European species is given. The systematic relationship between the two groups (Rhysodidae and Carabidae) of the superfamily Caraboidea has long been ambiguous. Some recent authors, understand Rhysodini as a tribe and Erwin & Sims (1984) positioned them as a supertribe into the family Carabidae based on larval as well as imaginal characters. However the opinions of other authors considers Rhysodidae and Carabidae as independent families, as it is also in the Catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera.
