About this product

Cape Dorset is an Inuit Hamlet situated on Dorset Island in the Qikiqtaaluk Region of Nunavut, Canada. Since the 1950s, Cape Dorset has been renowned as a centre of drawing, printmaking and carving and is considered to be the most artistic community in Canada, with 22% of the local community making their living from the arts.

The twelve images featured in this beautiful wall calendar were created at the Cape Dorset printmaking workshop and are based on drawings created by community artists.

The calendar is printed with soy-based inks on FSC certified paper. FSC certification promotes responsible forest management by ensuring that forestry practices are both environmentally and socially responsible.
