Two new combinations are proposed : Embrikstrandia bicolor Gressitt & Rondon, 1970 and Pachyteria samarahensis Abang-Vives 2004 are transferred into the genus Niraeus; two new synonymies are proposed: Niraeus antennarius Holzschuh, 2003 = Niraeus bicolor (Gressitt & Rondon, 1970) and Zonopterus scabricollis Nonfried, 1895 = Niraeus tricolor Newman, 1840. Typus of Niraeus tricolor Newman, Embrikstrandia bicolor Gressitt & Rondon, Zonopterus scabricollis Nonfried and Pachyteria samarahensis Abang-Vives are illustrated.
