Wood is subjected to marine deterioration mainly due to macroscopic fouling and boring organisms, though many microscopic forms also contribute in hastening material deterioration. These macro- and microscopic organisms involved in deterioration processes are known as wood deteriogens. This book reports the results of a study identifying macrodeteriogens of wood at Visakhapatnam Harbour, East Coast of India.
