Biography

Biswajit Roy Chowdhury, founder secretary of the Nature, Environment and Wildlife Society (NEWS) of India, and government-appointed pug-mark specialist, has written several books on the wildlife of India, including a recent book on wildlife tourism for the National Book Trust. Buroshiva Dasgupta, political journalist, is on the governing body of NEWS, along with Indira Bhattacharya who is also part of India's foremost green publication, Environ. All three are specialists in the fields of environmental awareness and the protection and preservation of India's natural heritage.
