Biography

John G. Keulemans was a Dutch painter and illustrator who produced the wonderful illustrations for the first and second editions of Sir Walter Lawry Buller's (1838-1906), A History Of The Birds Of NZ. The first edition of Buller's Birds of New Zealand was published in 1872-3 in an edition of 500 copies.
