This publication grew out of a workshop on benefit sharing held in Cape Town during the 4th World Congress of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (WOCMAP) in November 2009. It includes twenty-two case studies of benefit sharing in practice. The book is intended to help private and public sector organisations better understandthe challenges and opportunities of working with bio-resources, especially in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
