This photographic field guide to the birds of the European part of Russia, published in three parts, is a unique guide with descriptions and photos of all species of birds, as well as seasonal and age plumages shown for each. The publication is a record holder in the number of described species of birds: 486, which is more than half of the species of fauna throughout Russia, encountered nesting, migrating and wintering. The species essays, in addition to descriptions of plumage, highlight differences from other species, and describe distribution and biological characteristics of birds. The book is written by a group of professional ornithologists, and illustrations of the best bird photographers are included.
