About this book

Language: Chinese with scientific name index

This volume contains the most primitive groups of the pleurocarpi-dipolepideae of Musci in China. From the morphology, taxonomy and molecular biology, the relationships between the families and genera of the mosses of this volume are not only very complex, but the concepts of these families and genera are also quite different to bryologists. On the basis of the specimens and previous works and studies, the authors try to confirm the natural system for the families of Leucodontaceae, Orthotrichaceae, Trachypodaceae, Mettoriaceae and Neckeraceae (s.l.). In total, there are 1 order, 21 families, 83 genera, and 283 species in this volume, and among them many tropical types and East-Asiatic types, including 3 families, 15 genera, 40 species, and 2 new species, which are firstly recorded in China.
