The second of two volumes, Marine Fishes of Southern Fujian, China, Volume 2 covers a further 186 species of fishes belonging to 154 genera, 86 families, and 17 orders, found off the coast of Fujian, a province on the southeast coast of mainland China. For each species the book gives Chinese, scientific, and English names, morphological descriptions, distribution, total length of specimens, details on reproduction, taxonomic comments and IUCN red list status, and is illustrated with one or two color specimen photos. The book is the result of fish biodiversity investigations in the sea in southern Fujian province.
