About this book

Language: German

The focus of the present volume is again on molecular genetics and on a more detailed description of the Triple Procedure from volume 3, especially in the examination and application of the quadruple procedure as a further example of the n-tuple method and the n-tuple procedure of intermittent scanning of the bases and base pairs of complete mitochondrial genomes in the form of overlapping n-tuples using different evaluation methods.

In this text, an introduction is given to the quadruple method, the Bivalvia are compared with some Gastropoda, Annelida, Brachiopoda, Phoronida, Bryozoa and Crustacea, sums of the minima of the abundances of the same base pair triplets are compared between different species, the relationships of Bivalvia, Pteriomorphia, Veneroida as well Unionoida according to the quadruple method aer given, the assembly of genome parts is described, a comparison of the triple / quadruple method with the sequence alignment is described, and the morphological relationships of the Rudists and Brachiopods are given; In an annex the reader can find the programmes GENOM4, INVERS and ROTATION that were used, a statistical analysis, the investigation of 8 Bacteria and 8 Archaea using the quadruple method, and other notes.
