About this book

This guide includes detailed descriptions and photos of some of the most common mushrooms and other fungi found in Alaska, covering 150 species. It provides information on fungi at the genus and family level, and highlights both edible and poisonous species, giving former and alternate names of species. At the back of the book there is a glossary of technical terms and references for further study. While there is some overlap with the other two books in this series: Edible Mushrooms of Alaska and Poisonous Mushrooms of Alaska, the photos for these species have been changed, and it includes many more species not covered in the first two books.
