Latin American Landscapes is a new environmental history series that investigates how the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean have both shaped and been shaped by their environment over time. Building on the University of Arizona Press's longstanding record of publication in environmental studies and Latin American history, Latin American Landscapes seeks to publish scholarship that integrates social and ecological history across Latin America. Titles in Latin American Landscapes will address the widest possible variety, time periods and geographies, focusing on local, regional, national or bioregional narratives ranging from pre-Colombian studies to twenty-first century questions.
