The Ramsar Convention is an intergovernmental treaty which provides the framework for international cooperation for the conservation of wetland habitats. This manual is aimed at a wide readership - essentially anyone who may require information about the treaty. In one volume, the provisions, objectives, methods of working, activities and achievements of the Convention so far are outlined. For completeness, it also includes a brief history of the convention, together with a chronology of key events in its development. Available in English, Spanish or French.
