The dG Digital Guide Monocular is an innovative device from Swarovski which lets you watch wildlife while helping to improve your bird and mammal ID skills. It also lets you keep a record of the species you've seen and share these with your family, friends and colleagues. An essential item for surveyors, tour guides and keen wildlife watchers everywhere.
Watch wildlife
With 8x magnification and Swarovski's usual high-quality lenses, the dG allows you to watch wildlife with excellent colour reproduction and light transmission. Lenses feature SWAROBRIGHT, SWARODUR AND SWAROTOP coatings for crystal clear images and easier cleaning.
Record images and videos
Connect the dG to your smartphone using the Swarovski Optic dG app to access a range of exciting features. Live stream everything you see to up to five phones/tablets, take pictures and videos and manage all of your footage in the app gallery. The app is compatible with most iOS and Android devices and is simple to set up. Just keep your device within five metres of the dG and your footage will be transferred via a Wi-Fi hotspot. Images are taken at the touch of a button and, should the app be disabled, the dG is able to store up to ten temporary images in its internal memory.
Identify species
When used with apps such as Merlin ID and Swarovski's dG Mammals, you can even use your photos to identify the species that you've encountered.
Share your discoveries
The dG app allows you to save images and videos to your smartphone which you can then send to your friends and colleagues. You can even view the live stream on five devices at once, letting all of your group be included.
The dG features a low battery indicator and will switch off after five minutes of disconnection to the app or 15 minutes of no activity.
