The changes to the text include editing to bring the descriptions and writing more in line with subsequent volumes, correction of typographic and layout errors, and correction of errors and inconsistencies discovered in several keys, descriptions, and figures. The identification of Eulalia bilineata was changed to Eulalia califomiensis.
