Detailed monograph on this highly endangered and vulnerable primate, distinguished by its unique elongated third finger which it uses to extract grubs and fruit. Chapters concentrate mainly on Daubentonia madagascariensis, covering field observations, reproductive biology, captive management, diet, foraging and vocalizations. There is also a chapter on D.robusta, possibly a distinct species.
