Paul Andrew Mayewski is Director of the Institute for Quaternary and Climate Studies, University of Maine, Orono. He also chairs a fifteen-nation effort to explore the last 200 years of Antarctica's climate history. Frank White is author of The Overview Effect and The Seti Factor.
