About this book

This is the first up to date and comprehensive checklist of the vascular plants of Jordan. The Plants of Jordan covers 112 families and all species (including ferns and gymnosperms) recorded for Jordan, with at least one specimen for each species cited. A collaboration between the Royal Botanic Garden of Jordan and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, this is written by experts from both institutions, and as a result is an authoritative list of plants with correct nomenclature and accepted names. This will form a standard text for students of taxonomy, ecology, environmental studies and forestry in Jordan and across the Middle East.
