By: David Macdonald and Fran Tattersall
19 pages, Col photos, tabs, maps
Following the publication in 2001 of Britain's Mammals: The Challenge for Conservation, this update summarises the events that have, in the ensuing year, affected the state of Britain's mammal populations. Species Action Plan's (SAP) and Biodiversity Action Plan's (BAP) which have been implemented in the past are reviewed for a selection of mammals and recommendations are given where mammals have entered the Species of Conservation Concern criteria.
