Manganese has greatly contributed to the mineralogical renown of the Stavelot Massif in the Belgian Ardennes. The latter has been actively researched and exploited in upper and lower parts of the Vallée de la Lienne. This richly illustrated work presents the Ardennes manganese ores, their origin and the different deposits, especially those of Haute-Lienne which had never been studied before.
