About this book

Language: Czech

The popular-educational book Rostliny Karpat outlines the extremely rich and attractive world of Carpathian plants. It presents a selection of 150 botanically significant and more remarkable plants, which represent mainly Carpathian endemic species and phytogeographically interesting taxa with isolated or border occurrences in the Carpathians. The selection includes plants of various types of habitats and phytogeographical elements, not only rare and endangered species, but also more common taxa typical of the Carpathians. For each plant, in addition to basic information on its biological characteristics, site and conservation status, a map of distribution in the Carpathians is also given. The photographs show not only the plants themselves, but also their habitats and the areas in which they occur.

Summary in Czech:
Populárně-naučná kniha Rostliny Karpat přibližuje nesmírně bohatý a atraktivní svět karpatských rostlin.
