About this book

The Eastern Peaks encompases the Ffestiniog and Moelwynion ranges, magnificent peaks of Welsh slate. East lies the Migneint, a great moorland desert of heather and low craggy tors, and the Arenig mountains declining to the lake at Bala. The Berwyn range of fine heathery ridges stretches from Llangollen to the Tanat Valley at Llangynog.

Impressed by the sheer amount of information in two such relatively slim volumes. Outdoors Magic The beauty of the series is the depth and choice. Unlike other books, that compromise and short change you by squeezing into a single volume, this sprawls out like a range describing every significant peak and the many ways of linking them together. Not just a route up and down but full a la carte choice to plan the expedition you want. What I like is the balance between interesting information and details of navigation. I think John Gillham has got it right. voff-snowdonia.blogspot.com Sumptuously illustrated. South Wales Argus These books are by far the most comprehensive guides to the hills of Snowdonia National Park yet produced, and their resaearch and compilation is a remarkable acheivement. Strider This comprehensive and engaging volume features beautiful colour photography and route drawings. It's enthusiastically written, easy to read and informative. Country & Border Life
