About this book

Volume 2 completes this survey of the flora of Cyprus. In the main it follows closely the format of Volume 1, but one minor change from previous usage has been made in deference to the views expressed by Prof. W. T. Stearn in Taxon, 16:168-178 (1967): names published in Florae Graecae Prodromus and Flora Graeca, and previously attributed to "Sibthorp et Smith" are now attributed to Smith alone, or rarely to John Lindley, his successor as editor of the Flora Graeca.

A key for the identification of plant families represented in the Flora will be found on pp. 1899-1907, but the full list of cited literature promised in Vol. 1 has had to be omitted, since its inclusion would have further distended a volume already rather obese.

Volume 2 covers a further 61 families (see table of contents).
