About this book

Language: Czech

Dragonflies appeared on Earth about 300 million years ago, and stand out in having a number of unique features. Due to the relatively low number of species they are among the best-studied insect group with regards to their taxonomy, ecology and distribution. Besides butterflies and beetles there exist many other groups of insects that have an equally positive reception among both experts and the general public. Vážky České Republiky is a new practical pictorial publication, which differs from previous works in many differernt ways. Mainly in the fact that this atlas is very well usable as a field guide, while it also has general information on the life of dragonflies, their biology and ecology.
