About this book

While focused on the iconic Victoria Falls, this book also covers a selection of appealing destinations in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana that are found within reasonably close proximity. It is a must-have traveller's companion to this popular region of Southern Africa.

It is bursting with history, local knowledge and practical tips for making the most of your holiday. Apart from the Falls themselves - the 'smoke that thunders' - a visit to this part of the continent would be incomplete without game viewing, and there are plenty of parks from which to choose, among them Chobe (Botswana) and Kafue (Zambia) to Mosi-oa-Tunya and Hwange (Zimbabwe). There's plenty of practical advice, contact names and addresses and even a selection of useful phrases.
