Swifts are reliant on buildings for nesting habitat and these sites have dramatically declined due to changes in roofing and house construction. Providing nest boxes can increase the number of available nest sites and the Vivara Pro range has been carefully designed to maximise occupancy and breeding success. Constructed from WoodStone, a mix of wood fibres and concrete, this nest box is durable and should provide at least ten years of protection from predators and the elements.The Burgos nest box has a sloping roof to deter pigeons, making it ideal for use in urban environments. The entrance hole is at the front so that the nestlings can see out and there is an opening at the back for cleaning.

Swift nest boxes should be sited under the eaves of a building, at least 5m above the ground and ideally out of direct sunlight and with a clear flight path.
