This book contains papers based on materials presented on the 9th lntemational conference on wader studies in Eastem Europe and Northern Asia. The book represents a wide range of new achievements in traditional and recently developed fields of zoology related to waders. These are: historical dynamics of breeding ranges and abundance of waders, assessment of changes in populations of rare and common species, adaptations to anthropogenic environment, role of climate change in species ecology, morphological and genetic studies, learning of peculiarities of wader migrations in various regions, fauna of poorly studied areas. Information of this book is of interest not only for wader researchers, but also for game biologists and wildlife conservationists.
