About this book

A unique, one-stop reference on water resources in karst environments Water in Karst is a one-of-a-kind guide to water resources in karst areas, which are difficult to protect and manage because of the many complex interactions between surface water and groundwater, and any introduced contaminants. Karst environments around the world are under an ever-increasing threat due to changing land uses and over-exploitation. This book addresses the complexity of karst environments in terms of overall water management, including engineering solutions to overexploitation and contamination.
