About this product

For more information about choosing a nest box camera that is right for you, take a look at our blog post on nest box cameras.

This wifi camera kit is perfect for observing birds building their nests and raising their young in your garden nest box.

The tiny colour camera transmits both video and audio directly into your home for easy viewing on your mobile, PC or tablet device. This camera kit is compatible with Android and iOS systems. You can view the footage live or record for later viewing. This is the first camera of it's type on the market to feature built-in Wi-Fi!

It will record in colour during the day and, using the invisible infrared LEDs, will record in black and white during the night or in any low light conditions. These infrared LEDs provide night vision for up to 1m from the camera - perfect for viewing in a small space and not so powerful that they bleach the background or disturb the animals. The camera has a wide-angle lens and adjustable focus which provides perfect viewing. The MicroSD slot also allows you to easily record footage - and even set up motion detection - directly from the app. High quality videos of 1920 x 1080p are transmitted by the camera.  Power to the camera is supplied via a three metre mains cable, and extensions are available (see accessories below).

For optimal transmission locate away from other wireless devices.

Please note: The camera will still need to be plugged into a mains power source using the provided adapter and this camera works with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks only. Recordings made using motion detection settings are limited to a maximum duration of 10 seconds.

  • A must buy
By John 6 Mar 2021 Written for 3rd Generation
The difference between the 2nd and 3rd Gen cameras is amazing and would recommend the 3rd Gen camera every time. it uses a Green-feathers app (an easy set up) a far better app than iCSee pro app. Can't recommend this 3rd Gen camera enough.

  • Absolutely disagree with the previous review
By Jenny 12 May 2021 Written for 3rd Generation
2nd generation WiFi Bird Camera is 100% better than the 3rd generation camera – mainly due to the useless app which can only be used with the 3rd generation camera. I have both and just ordered my 2nd generation camera from here which has been difficult to find! The iCSee pro app is wonderful and only works with the 2nd generation camera.

  • Great cameras, but not long lasting
By Sarah 31 Mar 2023 Written for Ex-Demo 3rd Generation
I have bought at least five of these cameras, both Generations 2 and 3. I find the ICSee app irritating (adverts before you can see your footage) and much prefer the GreenFeathers version, but all cameras seem to be short-lived.

The quality of footage when they work is brilliant, and they offer a real insight into the hedgehogs in my garden. However, normally within a year, despite being inside hedgehog boxes and therefore kept dry, the cameras seem to lose their ability to find/retain the wifi signal, needing daily re-setting up, or not working at all. I’ve tried moving the cameras closer (less than 1m from the hub) so know it is not due to poor wifi signal). Nonetheless, the fact I keep replacing them shows how good they are, and how much I miss them when they don’t work!
