About this book

The island of Borneo is one of the world's biodiversity hotspots and a birdwatcher's paradise. Around 600 species of bird have been recorded here, and some 430 are known to breed. Many of these are rainforest specialists, but such a large island also has widely different habitats attracting a surprisingly wide range of avian visitors. Of particular interest are the 30 or so species that are endemic to Borneo, ie found nowhere else in the world.

Two hundred and fifty-two of Borneo's most interesting and spectacular birds are featured in this concise and easy-to-use guide, each species illustrated in full colour and with key information on identification, habitat and distribution.
