About this book

The 2700-mile Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail runs from Mexico to Canada through the mountains of California, Oregon and Washington. Purpose built for the exclusive use of backpackers and horse-riders it visits some of the most spectacular scenery in the world, usually under clear and sunny skies. The arid mountains and deserts of Southern California are followed by the magnificent glaciated mountains of the High Sierra, then Yosemite National Park and the Cascade Mountains of Northern California, Oregon and Washington.
