Deals with the Chinese Atheriniformes, Cyprinodontiformes, Beloniformes, Ophidiiformes and Gadiformes. Each order comprises two parts. I. General introduction: research history, morphologyical characters, ecological materials, geographical distribution, systematic classification, etc. II. Systematic description: 2 families, 5 genera and 8 species, belonging to Order Atheriniformes; 3 families, 5 genera and 8 species belonging to Ord. Cyprinodontiformes, and 5 species of them are introduced; 4 families, 15 genera and 46 species belonging to Ord. Beloniformes; 5 families, 30 genera and 53 species belonging to Ord. Ophidiiformes; and 7 families, 21 genera and 89 species belonging to Ord. Gadiformes. To each Order, important characters, origin and systematic position are discussed, keys to suborder, families, genera and species are given and have been translated into English in this abstract.
