Language: French with English summary
A flora treatment for the aquatic plant family Hydrocharitaceae occurring in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Burundi is given. Nowadays, the family includes the formerly recognized Najadaceae, which were treated elsewhere in this series. This volume deals with 6 genera and 15 species, one of which is newly described while one new subspecies is introduced. User-friendly keys to all taxa are provided. All species come with a full description, synonyms, data on their distribution, habitat, vernacular names and uses, as well as references to additional literature and the citation of representative specimens; 14 detailed line drawings assist the species recognition.
