The Compositeae of the tribe Mutisieae occurring in Ecuador are revised. Twelve genera and 50 species are recorded from, or considered likely to occur in Ecuador. Keys, descriptions, and full specimen citations are provided for all taxa and many species are illustrated. Three species and one variety are described as new, viz. Chuquiraga arcuata Harl., Jungia coarctata Hieron. var acutiloba Harl., Jungia acutiloba Harl., and Mutisia discoidea Harl. Three new combinations are made, viz. Barnadesia ciliata (Chung) Harl., Jungia spectabilis D. Don ssp. Sodiroi (Hieron.) Harl., and Onoseris salicifolia H.B.K. ssp. Warscewiczii (Hieron.) Harl.
