Around 25 years after the books by Folzenlogen, Nyhius and Marshall, another guide to the zoos in the USA has been published, this time by an Englishman and a Canadian. In their lavishly illustrated work, Tim Brown and Scott Richardson forego all information that is now available to zoo enthusiasts in digital form. Unfortunately, this also includes site plans.
Instead, there are over 700 colour photos on 368 pages, which fortunately shows striking buildings and facilities. A large number of tips and hints should prove to be very valuable when visiting the zoos presented. A book written by zoo enthusiasts for like-minded people.
