Language: Chinese with scientific nomenclature

Chebaling Nature Reserve in Guangdong, a coastal province of southeast China, has a wealth of bird resources, is a suitable location for a variety of scientific research, but is also a well-known birding hotspot in China and outside of it.

This book covers a total of 18 orders, 55 families, 162 genera, and 259 species of birds. Among these are 114 species of resident birds, accounting for 44.0%; 10 species that can migrate of stay, accounting for 3.9%; and 135 species of migratory birds, accounting for 52.1%. Among migratory birds, there are 25 species of vagrant birds (9.7%), 55 species of winter migrants (21.2%), 19 species of summer migrants (7.3%) and 36 species of mixed migratory birds, accounting for 13.9%.

The book features colour photos, supplemented by text giving a detailed description of the ecology of each species.
