Aves do Brasil
by Norbert Roeder in Germany (02/08/2012)

The CD contains many picture of sounds of Southern Brasilian birds, however its pretty useless in practical terms, as

- the sound files are in a generic format that cannot be converted to mp3 (or at least no clue is given how to do it)
- the files (sounds and images) can only be accessed on CD
- the sound files are indexed using abbreviated scientific names making their access barely feasible
- the author / publisher refuse to respond to any questions, solving the issues mentioned above

Therefore, the whole package can only be used at home but the state of the art use of these sound libraries, to have a comparison in the field, or to tape certain species is not feasible. (O.K. you can run around in the field with your netbook; however a smartphone or mobile would just be more convenient)
