Thesaurus Dracularum

Thesaurus Dracularum is a series of 7 elephant folio (12" × 17" or approximately 30.5 cm × 43 cm) format books featuring more than 100 illustrations of orchids of the Genus Dracula. Executed in watercolour by modern orchidologist and botanical illustrator Stig Dalström, we are shown the inner beauty of a truly daunting and at times unsettling genus. These prints and the folios containing them must be seen to be appreciated.

The fascicles can be ordered separately or as a 7-volume set. Each of the seven fascicles has a glue-bound spine, which should ease taking out the plates for framing or binding into a larger book. Fascicles 1 to 6 each contain one larger, folded two-page plate. Fascicle 7 contains a leaflet with instructions for binding.
