The idea for this book came from the need to systematize both the aesthetic and scientific information concerning succulent plants for the public to know and appreciate even more the beauty of these plants. Altogether 83 species are presented with a description of the morphological and aesthetic characteristics, their use in landscaping, flowering period and origin.

Ao todo são apresentadas 83 espécies, com descrição das características morfológicas e estéticas, o uso no paisagismo, período de floração e origem.
