A New Dimension of Climate Justice argues that the impact of climate change on cultural identity has been overlooked in political and philosophical discussions about how to respond to climate change. Beginning with a review of the reasons to regard cultural identity as important, it goes on to examine the implications of taking the "cultural dimension" seriously in climate justice, including its implications for the concept of adaptation, loss and damage, plus the need to pursue mitigation. Also discussed are questions of responsibility for climate change.
